Elmar Pollmann-Schweckhorst has been training show jumping riders and horses for more than three decades. As a Gold holder of the German Riding Awards, he applies his years of international experience in equestrian sports to promote promising talent.
He is a qualified master horseman ("Breeding and Rearing" and "Licensed Riding Instructor (FN)") and since 1990 has managed, with his wife Christiane, the Gut Bärbroich estate. The estate is located in Germany's Bergisch Land and is an international training centre now in its third generation of ownership. Elmar is also active as a show jumping trainer both in Germany and abroad.
His book "Training the Modern Show Jumper" was first published in 2002 and is now one of the standard texts within show jumping literature.
